Business leaders’ plea to Biden: Letters to the Editor — Aug. 31, 2023

The Issue: A plea from 122 business owners to President Biden to help NYC migrants get work permits.

Again, the corporate elites don’t get it (“Help us!” Aug. 28).

Demand that the border be closed. That is the first and most important step to deal with this crisis.

There should be no work permits because that incentivizes the illegals to cross the border.

Amazing. These business leaders are the same ones who will continue donating to the Biden campaign.

More amazing: Why aren’t they going after Sen. Chuck Schumer, the majority leader in the Senate, or junior Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand? Has anyone seen or heard from her? How about Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the House Democratic leader?

These are the most powerful political leaders from New York state.

New Yorkers — in fact, everyone — pay attention. Why aren’t we getting answers from these people? Because they put party over constituents, except when it’s election time, and a majority of us fall for it all over again.

The severity of the crises in New York City (and other major cities) caused by the Biden administration’s failure to protect our border is reflected in the letter sent to the White House by executives, who live and work here, pleading for help.

Biden’s border policy is a willful act by the president to permanently change our demographics, regardless of the harm it causes.

He has failed to protect and defend us, and in so doing is causing harm to our cities and country.

There should be an investigation as to why this is happening. His refusal to help New York City cope with a problem of his own doing is unconscionable. Biden should be impeached and removed from office.

Back in the day, big business ruled this country, but that’s all in the past. New York City’s head honchos are in for a rude awakening if they think Biden is going to be any help in assisting these migrants to attain work permits.

Some 122 business leaders are pleading that corrupt Biden lend a helping hand and take immediate action to control the border and expedite work applications.

Let me sum up how Joe is going to respond to this ultimatum: He simply won’t respond because he doesn’t care and he never will.

As I’ve said in the past, Biden is a narcissist, who has no regards or feelings about anyone. End of that story.

Migrants are overrunning New York City, and there’s no help from Biden.

To get his attention, send busloads of migrants to DC. That will get Washington’s attention better than some phony “SOS” from business leaders.

Does anyone expect a response from the mentally challenged occupant of the White House — or for that matter, from the Democratic congressional leadership?

I don’t think we should hope for much. Besides, all Democratic elected New York officials, with very few exceptions, are in lockstep with the administration.

When has anyone heard any protest from Sen. Schumer or any other Democrat about this? Do they care that the funds to take care of “our guests” will either bring about a massive increase in taxes or an equally massive cut in services?

It’s time to turn those buses around to Delaware. That’s the only way they’ll take notice. How many of the “migrants” have been settled in Delaware?

Business owners: Biden won’t help you. He despises you and everything you stand for — hard work, sacrifice, contributing to the neighborhood.

And you complain about soaring electric and gas prices. You will get no help from Biden or Adams. They ran for office to satisfy their ego and ambitions.

Sorry if you thought it had anything to do with helping you.
