I found a note from a crazy Hinge date under my toilet written in lipstick — here’s what it said

A singleton said she was horrified to discover that her “unhinged” Hinge date scrawled a message under her toilet seat telling other men to “run.”

Luna Ray, 23, matched with the unidentified man on the dating app earlier this year before inviting him to her Michigan home.

Ray said she soon realized that she and the man were far from compatible and asked him to leave. He agreed to do so, but first asked to use her bathroom, where he carried out the act of vengeful vandalism using two of her lipsticks.

“He started talking about how he was a very worldly man and had toured the world,” Ray recalled of the date in an interview with Kennedy News and Media. “Straight away he said that in France there were these two girls that wanted to have a three-way with him. He was just not very charming.

“I basically wasn’t feeling him, and as an excuse said I wasn’t over my ex-boyfriend,” she continued, saying she used it as an excuse to “spare his feelings.”

“He asked me, ‘Can I use your restroom before I leave?’, which was fine, of course. I didn’t know he’d written anything until the next day my roommate called me and was like, ‘What the hell happened to our toilet?’ “

Ray said her roommate’s boyfriend lifted the lid of the toilet to find the bright red warning scrawled in lipstick.

“It said, ‘She is effing her ex — run’ and included his phone number so they could contact him for more information,” Ray revealed.

“Initially I thought it was kind of funny, but I no longer feel that way as he used my lipstick which is so unsanitary,” she continued. “He actually used two different shades of lipstick and put them both back on the counter, hoping I’d use them again.”

Ray uploaded a video to TikTok telling of the toilet tale and it quickly went viral, racking up more than 5 million views.

“The video going viral has been a bit frustrating,” Ray admitted. “There’s been a lot of men taking his side and thinking it’s funny, but not taking into account how messed up it really is.” Kennedy News and Media

Many of the commenters concluded that the man was emotionally unstable, with one writing: “You dodged a bullet.”

Another wrote: “Did he not think she cleans the underside of the toilet? Like what kind of plan was this?”

However, many men in the comments section sided with the jilted man, with one declaring: “She gotta be insane for bro to give a warning to the next homie.”

Since the encounter, Ray said she has deleted all online dating apps.

She now advises other women to go with their gut, especially if they feel uncomfortable on a date.

“If I had any advice to other women out there I’d say to always go with your gut feeling,” she stated.

“You don’t owe anybody your time. As soon as you feel uncomfortable, don’t waste your time or someone else’s time.”
