Michael Irvin joining ‘Undisputed’ as NFL Network future undecided

Skip Bayless is having a party and some of his best friends are invited.

The bombastic host of FS1’s “Undisputed” tweeted Monday confirmation of the new faces joining his show.

And yes, he really did send it in all caps:

“RICHARD SHERMAN! KEYSHAWN JOHNSON! MICHAEL IRVIN! NEW DREAM TEAM ON THE NEW UNDISPUTED. NEW LIL WAYNE INTRO SONG, “GOOD MORNING.” NEXT MONDAY. AUGUST 28. 9:30 E, FS1. BE THERE.”

Sherman’s name is no surprise because it’s been out there for a while.

Johnson heads to “Undisputed” after being let go by ESPN in June as part of its latest round of payroll reductions.

UPDATE (4:41 p.m.):  The Post has learned this announcement was premature, as ESPN has yet to release Johnson from his contract.

Irvin, however, could pose a bit of a problem.

The Hall-of-Fame wide receiver remains suspended by NFL Network and ESPN after being accused of making lewd comments toward a hotel employee at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel ahead of Super Bowl LVII.

Irvin, 57, has steadfastly denied wrongdoing and filed a $100 million lawsuit against Marriott, claiming he’s being “railroaded.”

Irvin going to “Undisputed” means he’s essentially trading places with Shannon Sharpe.

The Hall-of-Fame tight end, 55, left his FS1 show in June after seven years of dealing with Bayless’ antics.

The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported last week Sharpe is heading to “First Take” to spar with Stephen A. Smith.

So here’s the tale of the trade in the televised version of musical chairs, if you will:

  • Former “First Take” stars Michael Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson join Skip Bayless on FS1’s “Undisputed.”
  • Former “Undisputed” co-host Shannon Sharpe joins Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s “First Take.”

And don’t forget how all this started: Smith, 55, and Bayless, 71, co-hosted “First Take” on ESPN from 2012-16.
