Jonathan Taylor next team odds: Dolphins, Bears favorites to land star running back

Jonathan Taylor is on the move.

The Indianapolis Colts do not want to pay their All-World running back, so they’ve allowed him to seek a trade.

Plenty of teams could use 2021’s rushing leader (1811 yards and 18 touchdowns on 332 carries), but only a few have the capital and the desire to trade for a bell-cow running back.

The Colts are seeking a first-round pick, or a package of picks of equal value, in a trade for Taylor.

Vegas oddsmakers have some ideas for where Taylor could land.

Let’s dive into Taylor’s next team odds, available at DraftKings.

The Favorites to Land Taylor

The Dolphins have emerged as top potential suitors for Taylor, as rumors have emerged that they’re exploring trade options.

Head coach Mike McDaniel is a wizard at designing rush-heavy offenses. It would be a great landing spot for Taylor. In that area, Miami is a tad thin, with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr. leading the corps.

The Bears are another rush-heavy offense atop the oddsboards.

Behind Justin Fields, the Bears ran for the most yards in the NFL last season, and they could use a top back now that David Montgomery has moved on (unless you believe in Khalil Herbert).

Kay Adams chimed in on the Taylor to the Bears:

The Ravens, Broncos and Cowboys are the other three teams with odds shorter than +1000 to land Taylor, while the Commanders, Buccaneers and Bills all have 10-to-1 odds to land Taylor.

The middle tier in this market features the Vikings (+1500), Eagles (+2000), Bengals (+2000) and Panthers (+2000), while every other team has odds longer than +3000 to land the back.
