Dodgers vs. Guardians prediction: MLB odds, pick, best bets

The Los Angeles Dodgers aren’t used to losing over the last month.

They are 17-3 in their last 20 games and on Tuesday will take to the road to face the Cleveland Guardians.

On the mound for the Dodgers will be Bobby Miller (7-2, 3.70 ERA), with Cleveland giving the ball to veteran and ex-Dodger Noah Syndergaard (2-6, 6.57 ERA).

Miller, like the Dodgers, has been on fire recently, allowing three runs or less in six straight starts.

Los Angeles has been a smart bet with Miller on the mound, going 10-4 in his 14 starts this season.

Out of those 10 wins, six have come on the road.

Sometimes a pitcher is better than his record indicates.

That’s not the case with Syndergaard.

The former Dodger has allowed at least five runs seven times this season.

He’s been hit or miss so far in his four starts with the Guardians, allowing five runs twice and one run each in the other two outings.

Syndergaard has struggled with allowing the long ball all season.

He’s already yielded six home runs over 21 2/3 innings with Cleveland.

The Dodgers have lost just once on the road since July 23.

Given Syndergaard’s issues this season, I expect Los Angeles’ dominance away from home to continue Tuesday.

The pick: Dodgers -195 (Caesars Sportsbook)
