Body wrapped in garbage bag found stuffed inside shopping cart: NYPD
A man’s body was found wrapped in a plastic garbage bag and stuffed in a shopping cart in The Bronx on Saturday, according to police and sources.
Police received a 911 call around 11:15 a.m. about a man who was found unconscious and unresponsive inside of the black plastic bag at Whitlock Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard, police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
The man’s identity has been withheld pending family notification, cops said.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
