Riley Keough named heir of late mom Lisa Marie Presley’s estate after legal battle with grandmother
Riley Keough — the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley — has been named sole trustee of her mom’s estate after a legal battle with her grandmother, according to reports.
The move was approved by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lynn Healey Scaduto during a hearing on Friday, Deadline reported.
Under the agreement, Keough was also named owner of her grandfather Elvis Presley’s famous Graceland estate in Tennessee and her grandmother, Priscilla Presley will be allowed to be buried there, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Priscilla, the ex-wife of Elvis and Lisa Marie’s mother, had challenged the validity of her late daughter’s will in a petition filed in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Riley’s grandmother alleged in the docs that her daughter’s signature on the 2016 document “appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature,” further arguing that Lisa Marie’s name had even been spelled wrong.
The amendment had reportedly removed Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees and replaced them with Lisa Marie’s eldest children — Riley and Benjamin Keough.
Benjamin committed suicide in 2020.
Riley, 34, had earlier reached a settlement agreement over Lisa Marie’s trust with Priscilla and Michael Lockwood — Lisa Marie’s ex-husband and father of 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley Lockwood.
Priscilla and Riley were reportedly not talking during the tense legal feud.
Riley will preside over her half-sisters’ sub-trusts, according to Deadline. Priscilla, 77, will be a special adviser to the trust and will be paid monthly for her role.
Keough was also named owner of her grandfather’s famous Graceland estate in Tennessee. Priscilla will be allowed to be buried there as part of the agreement.
Lisa Marie, who was Elvis’ only child, died at age 54 on Jan. 12 after suffering from cardiac arrest.
She was laid to rest next to her son Benjamin as well as her late father at Graceland.
