Allysha Chapman’s X-rated Women’s World Cup outburst caught on hot mic

Talk about some northern exposure.

In a Women’s World Cup match with Australia, Canadian defender Allysha Chapman went on a profanity-laced X-rated outburst toward Australian coach Tony Gustavsson.

Gustavsson was upset with Chapman’s rough play, specifically with leaping into Australian forward Hayley Raso, leaving Raso prone on the ground and requiring medical attention.

“She f–king jumped into me you tw–t!” Chapman yelled.

The altercation was caught on video and picked up on a hot mic by the broadcast.

“Allysha Chapman looked over to Tony Gustavsson and said some pretty stern words,” Seven Network’s World Cup commentator David Basheer told viewers.

Basheer didn’t give much blame to either party involved in the hard challenge.

“‘It was just a coming together, really,” Basheer said. “It wasn’t Chapman’s doing. It was just Raso’s determination to win the ball.”

Fellow commentator and former Aussie midfielder Grace Gill added that this was “a coming together,” with “Raso coming off a little worse for wear.”

The foul-mouthed incident also forced the BBC’s Robyn Cowen to acknowledge Chapman’s exchange.

“Apologies, there, if any language was picked up on the very sensitive pitch-side microphones, it seems,” she said.

Chapman’s graphic moment was likely the result of the frustration that resulted in a 4-0 loss to the Matildas.

Raso had scored two first-half goals in the contest, one in the sixth minute of the match and the other in the 39th minute.
