Paige Spiranac claims she’s facing TikTok shadow ban as views plummet

Paige Spiranac is dealing with a content creator’s worst nightmare.

The 30-year-old golf influencer claimed she’s been shadow-banned on TikTok in a video posted to the app on Tuesday, as her views have plummeted recently.

Spiranac — who’s one of the game’s top influencers, gaining millions of followers with her sultry photos and videos — has 1.5 million followers on TikTok.

“So I was told that all of my content is shadow banned because of the girls,” Spiranac said while zooming in on her cleavage.

“I don’t get it, because when I’m scrolling through the ‘For You page,’ I have girls in bikinis dancing to ‘One Margarita,’ and I’m like, ‘Yes, girl, get it!’ but I also want to get it!”

Shadow-banning occurs when a user’s social media content has been blocked or restricted in some capacity without them receiving any notice, according to Sprout Social.

Spirinac’s views on her TikTok videos have drastically dropped, going from millions per video, down to just a few thousand.

“No one is able to see my videos these days,” she wrote in her caption, asking her followers: “Anyone else struggling with this?”

Spiranac’s request to TikTok was outlined in text over the video, which read: “Make the guidelines make sense.”

Spiranac, who has 3.8. million followers on Instagram, has yet to complain about the engagement stats and algorithm on that platform.

Her latest post, a July 10 snapshot of her golfing at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch, has over 117,440 likes as of Friday.

Spiranac has been vocal about the revealing content she shares on social media, as well as the pitfalls of living life in the spotlight.

In November, she made headlines when she discussed the double standard between male and female athletes showing off their bodies.

The month prior, Spiranac took to her YouTube channel to address negative comments after she said she was “extremely body shamed” on social media when she threw the first pitch at the Yankees-Brewers game in Milwaukee in September 2022.
