NYPD stationhouse evacuated after 72-year-old man shows up with rusted gun and grenade

An NYPD stationhouse was evacuated Wednesday when a 72-year-old man showed up holding a rusted gun and grenade, police said.

The senior appeared at the 107th Precinct headquarters in Queens around 10:15 a.m. with the decaying weapons in tow, authorities said.

The NYPD’s Bomb Squad and Emergency Services Unit responded to the stationhouse, located on Parsons Boulevard near 71st Avenue in Pomonok, police said.

Meanwhile, everyone inside was required to leave — including one prisoner, a 55-year-old man who was being held in the building and needed to be moved to another precinct, cops said.

Sources say the grenade appears to be inert, but that has not yet been officially confirmed by police officials.

Police also could not immediately say whether the senior will face charges.
