Elderly woman in wheelchair mowed down crossing Brooklyn street
Disturbing footage obtained by The Post shows the moment an elderly woman in a wheelchair was run over and killed by a car while she was crossing the street in Brooklyn.
Joyce Greenberg, 68, was pushing her way across Webster Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when a 73-year-old woman driving a Lexus SUV southbound on McDonald Avenue struck her, according to police.
Video of the incident shows the handicapped victim in a green shirt slowly wheeling herself into the street at the edge of a crosswalk when a white car accelerates and hits the woman.
The car keeps driving, rolling over the victim before the driver finally stops in the middle of the intersection with the woman still beneath the car.
