Nothing was going to get between Sahith Theegala and Juju Chan on Tuesday.
Not even pouring rain, which was coming down throughout Theegala’s entire range session ahead of The Open in Liverpool.
Chan, whose full first name is Julianna, also posted a photo of her boyfriend’s range session on Instagram on Tuesday, tagging the location at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
“Someone should really check my credentials,” she quipped, as she’s pictured holding an umbrella and smiling while Theegala peers out for a drive he just hit.
While the two went public with their relationship in January 2023, some reports say the two met in sunny Malibu at Pepperdine, where Theegala was a three-time All-American and Chan also impressed — setting a new school record with her team in the 200-meter medley relay as a swimmer in 2019.
Theegala, 25, is ranked No. 35 in the world after turning pro in 2020.
He has yet to capture a title on the PGA Tour but he has finished in the top 10 seven times over the course of the 2022-23 season, including a ninth-place finish at The Masters and a fourth-place title at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Theegala has cracked the top 25 in 10 PGA Tour events and has raked in a career total of $4,941,293 so far.
The California-born golfer hasn’t received much hype ahead of the prestigious tournament in Liverpool, which has a total purse of $16.5 million and will award the winner $3 million.
Theegala’s odds to win the tournament are +15000, while his odds to make the top 10 are +1100, per Draftkings.
