In 1997, Bob Dylan once professed his love for Scotland, writing his hit song “Highlands” with the lyrics, “Well my heart’s in the Highland, I’m gonna go there when I feel good enough to go.”
Not only did he feel good enough to go to Scotland, he bought a place there. In 2006, Dylan, now 82, alongside his brother, purchased what’s known as the Aultmore House for $2.9 million.
But the singer and Pulitzer Prize winner is parting ways with his beloved home as he gets older, now mostly living in Malibu.
This listing comes as Dylan, born Robert Zimmerman, is wrapping his last leg of his worldwide tour Rough and Rowdy Ways, set to end in 2024.
He last played in Rome earlier this month, on July 9. No other upcoming tour dates have been scheduled.
Sources tell The Post this is likely Dylan’s final tour.
Made up of 16 bedrooms and 11 baths, the home — situated on 24 acres of land — is now on sale for $3.9 million.
Until recently, Dylan used the home, close to the village of Nethy Bridge, a few weeks a year.
Built in the 1900s, the three-story property is accessed via a long driveway through the surrounding forest.
Occupying over 18,000 square feet, the home holds many of its original features including marble fireplaces, detailed plasterwork on ceilings, archways and timber floors, the listing notes.
Amenities include a billiards room, a drawing room, a garden room, primary and secondary kitchens, and a guest or staff wing. There are also offices, a workshop, an old coal cellar and a music room.
Tom Stewart-Moore with Knight Frank holds the listing.
The estate also has several other detached properties, including a Victorian greenhouse, an orchard, a walled garden, a fountain and even a croquet lawn.
Additionally, there are three four-bedroom cottages, according to the listing.
A rep for Dylan declined to comment on the sale.
Dylan has had a lucrative career, winning the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2016, 10 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
