Donald Trump hit one of the worst shanks ever — and it was caught on video

That’s far right — even for the most conservative of Republicans.

President Trump was caught on video published Thursday on social media hitting a pitch shot towards a green at Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, and he probably wishes there was nobody else around to record it.

“Trump’s shooting right now, let’s see if he can hit the green…. Oh he shanked it,” a spectator says quietly while the camera rolls, capturing the 45th president’s game from an elevated vantage.

Following a couple practice swings around Secret Service and his playing partners, the ball flew way right of the green, near the bunker and the hole’s surrounding trees and bushes.

It’s an incredibly poor shot given how close he appeared to be to the green.

Generally considered among the best golfing presidents, the wayward shot has left some wondering whether Trump’s handicap — currently at 2.5, per Golf Digest — may be a bit generous for the 77-year-old, who reportedly hasn’t posted any scores since 2021.

“[Were] you able to watch trump play golf? He claims to be a 4 handicap, but still makes shots like this,” one person questioned on Twitter.

Per “Commander in Cheat,” a book written by Rick Reilly examining Trump’s relationship to golf, some have questions about the former president’s handicap.

Former pro golfer and current NBC broadcaster Brad Faxon, a supporter and frequent playing partner of Trump’s, said the President was “a legit 10.”

LPGA Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam agreed, saying Trump was a “9 or 10.”

In 2019, Golf Digest ranked Trump as the best golfing president of all time, using his handicap and his 19 club championship victories as evidence.

According to one writer at the outlet, the best part of the president’s game is his ball-striking. Trump says his putting takes the cake.

Trump has frequently used golf as a way to escape the stresses of his life: In April, he was seen golfing at Mar-a-Lago in Florida as he faced arraignment in Manhattan for in the Stormy Daniels case.

Trump was a big supporter of the controversial PGA Tour-LIV Golf merger.

“GREAT NEWS FROM LIV GOLF,” Trump, who has hosted four LIV Golf events, wrote on his Truth Social account in all capital letters. “A BIG, BEAUTIFUL, AND GLAMOROUS DEAL FOR THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF GOLF. CONGRATS TO ALL!!!”
