Richard Sherman a candidate to be Skip Bayless’ Fox Sports foil on ‘Undisputed’

Richard Sherman has emerged as a candidate to be Skip Bayless’ partner on FS1’s “Undisputed,” The Post has learned.

In the wake of Shannon Sharpe leaving the program after seven years, FS1 is in the midst of finding Bayless’ new partner.

The program is in its usual summer hiatus but will begin again at the end of August.

Fox Sports is figuring out who will team with the 71-year-old Bayless.

Bayless and Sherman have a history together, dating back more than a decade ago on ESPN’s “First Take.”

Sherman, then a player and a guest on the program, told Bayless to “address me as All-Pro Stanford graduate.”

Sherman added that Bayless “had never accomplished anything.”

Bayless shot back that he had “accomplished more in [media]” than Sherman had in football.

Sherman returned fire that he was named All-Pro, meaning he was one of the best 22 at what he does, and didn’t believe Bayless was in the first 22 at anything.

In terms of what hot-takes shows are striving for, it was good TV.

There are apparently no hard feelings as sources witnessed Sherman and Bayless meeting at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday about the idea of teaming up.

The opportunity to replace Sharpe is a coveted spot as it pays millions and gives a person — likely an ex-athlete — a chance to have a big voice in sports opposing the polarizing Bayless.

Fox Sports declined comment.

If Sherman emerges as the choice, he would have to balance his schedule with his “Thursday Night Football” work, where he was part of Amazon Prime Video’s inaugural pre- and post-game coverage.
