Passenger tries to steal Lyft car, stabs driver before jumping off FDR

A Lyft driver was stabbed by a crazed passenger who tried to steal his black Tesla on the FDR Drive in lower Manhattan on Tuesday, cops and police sources said.

The driver had a knife pulled on him in the attempted carjacking as he was heading south on the parkway near the Manhattan Bridge at about 2:45 p.m., according to police and the sources.

The knife-wielding rider stabbed him, tried to carjack two other drivers — and then jumped out of the car and off the FDR to the roadway below in an attempt to escape, police said.
