A man who allegedly gunned down a 15-year-old boy at a Manhattan park was arrested, cops said Monday.
Anibal Cruz, 36, of the Bronx, was arrested on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon for Saturday’s fatal shooting of teen Wesley Vasquez at Riverbank State Park in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood, cops said.
Cruz was busted after cops got a description from eyewitnesses at the park.
He was allegedly nabbed trying to dump the murder weapon nearby, police said Monday.
Vasquez was shot multiple times at the park and was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital where he later died, according to state police.
“Currently the case is being handled by the New York State Police and we are assisting them in trying to get probable cause on Mr. Cruz,” NYPD Assistant Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said.
The shooting was one of nine in the Big Apple since Friday afternoon, including several that left minors critically wounded, police said.

On Sunday night four people, including a 12-year-old girl, were wounded in a shooting in the Bronx.
On Friday, a 5-year-old girl was seriously wounded while sitting in her family’s car in the Bronx. ,
Both youngsters are expected to survive.
“What we’ve been seeing, unfortunately, in some areas of the city is lawlessness before shooting,” NYPD Chief Lipetri told reporters Monday. “Large groups of individuals on the streets. One of them a memorial, one of them an illegal social club and the rest were watch groups on the streets.”
