Meghan and Harry’s ‘juicy’ new Netflix project rumored — reps are denying it

They’ve been accused of embellishing their recent car “chase” caper — but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may soon be putting their imaginations to use for a new project with Netflix, one publication claims.

The Mirror reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who signed a multimillion-dollar deal with the streaming service back in 2020 — could be developing a feature-length film inspired by their time living in the UK.

However, a rep for royal couple denied the rumor when contacted by the Post on Wednesday afternoon.

The Mirror report quotes a source as saying Harry and Markle have been inspired by Netflix’s forthcoming film, “Scoop,” based on Prince Andrew’s infamous interview with BBC’s Emily Maitlis.

That movie, which stars Gillian Anderson, will revolve around the televised 2019 interview between Andrew and Maitlis.

During that sit-down, the prince vehemently denied having sex with Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged trafficking victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre.

While Harry and Markle are purportedly planning to “wait and see” what the reception to “Scoop” is like, an insider allegedly told Closer magazine that the pair believe they have “a big screen story to tell about what happened” to them before they stopped being working royals.

“Meghan is really pushing for it to happen, while Harry wants to treat more carefully,” the Mirror quotes the Closer source as saying.

Back in 2020, Harry and Markle signed a deal with Netflix estimated at around $100 million, according to Forbes.

Per the alleged agreement, the duke and duchess are expected to produce an array of content for the streaming giant, including documentaries, films, children’s shows, docuseries and more.

According to the insider, Netflix is actually “not interested in documentaries or children’s TV shows from the couple but want more ‘juicy stuff’ about their royal lives.”

Late last year, the couple released their six-part docuseries “Harry and Meghan,” which was a smash hit for the streamer.

The film rumors come after the couple was hit with backlash after claiming they were pursued by paparazzi in a “near-catastrophic” two-hour car chase in Manhattan last week.

High-profile politicians and pundits, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams and “The View’s” Whoopi Goldberg cast doubt on the story.

The couple is reportedly “hurt” by the skepticism surrounding their story, Us Weekly is now reporting.

“They insist their account of the car chase was absolutely not exaggerated, and for people to say otherwise is so hurtful and out of line,” an insider told the publication.
