Giants sign first-rounder Deonte Banks with one draft pick left

The Giants are nearly done signing their entire 2023 draft class.

They signed cornerback Deonte Banks on Thursday, with the first-round pick agreeing to the slotted four-year, $13.6 million, fully guaranteed rookie deal.

As a first-round pick, the Giants have the fifth-year option available to them with Banks.

Of the seven players in the Giants’ 2023 draft class, only center John Michael Schmitz, the second-round pick, is unsigned.

Previously, the Giants came to terms with wide receiver Jalin Hyatt (third round), running back Eric Gray (fifth round), cornerback Tre Hawkins (sixth round), defensive lineman Jordon Riley (seventh round) and safety Gervarrius Owens (seventh round).

The Giants traded up one spot (from No. 25 to 24) in the first round to get Banks out of Maryland.

He is expected to push for an immediate starting spot alongside veteran corner Adoree’ Jackson.
