Ted Cruz tells Biden that impending ‘tragedy,’ ‘suffering’ and death at border ‘is your fault’

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz warned that a “massive” impending “invasion at our southern border” will bring “tragedy,” “suffering” and death — directly addressing the president to say: “Joe Biden, this is your fault.

“We’re seeing an invasion at our southern border,” the leading Republican said in videos from the border in Brownsville, Texas.

“And there are, right now, over 22,000 illegal immigrants right across the river,” he said, pointing to lights across the Rio Grande.

“They’re waiting. They’re waiting for Title 42 to expire, and then the invasion we’re going to see is going to be massive,” he said of the pandemic-era right to boot certain migrants, which ended at midnight.

“We already have the worst illegal immigration in the history of our country. And in just a few hours it’s getting worse,” he said.

Pointing at the camera, Cruz said: “Joe Biden, this is your fault.

“The people who are killed crossing illegally: That’s your fault. The women who are sexually abused crossing illegally: That’s your fault. The children who are brutalized crossing illegally: That’s your fault.

“The people who are dying of drug overdoses — over 100,000 last year — that is your fault,” he claimed, repeatedly jabbing a finger.

“Come down here, President Biden. Stop hiding in the basement — stop pretending this misery is not your fault. Stop it.

“This is not humane, this is not compassionate. This is cruel,” Cruz said.

In a second clip, he warned: “We’ll see tragedy, we’ll see suffering — we’ll see people die. We’ll see women brutalized and we’ll see children brutalized.

“This is horrific, this is cruel, and this is a deliberate political decision from Joe Biden and [Vice President] Kamala Harris and every congressional Democrat,” he alleged.

In that clip, Cruz also filmed what he called “horrific and cruel” consequences from the crisis, showing abandoned clothing, including a sandal from a girl who “can’t be more than 5 or 6 years old — she might even be younger.”

He also pointed his camera toward the Mexican side of the Rio Grande crossing.

“Listen to the music. There’s a party south of the border — they’re celebrating,” he said.

“They’re celebrating because … the 22,000 people who are south of the border will cross and come into America,” he predicted.
