Crazed U-Haul driver Weng Sor hit with 25-count indictment in fatal NYC rampage

The deranged U-Haul driver who allegedly plowed into nearly a dozen people in Brooklyn, killing a single father, has been hit with a 25-count indictment over the horrifying rampage, prosecutors announced Monday.

Weng Sor, 62, was arraigned on the charges — including murder and attempted murder — in the Feb. 13 hour-long vehicular frenzy that began in Sunset Park and ended in Red Hook, killing single father of three YijieYe, 44.

“It’s judgment day,” Sor, who had a long criminal record and a history of mental illness, allegedly told cops as he was busted. “I want it to end by taking out enemies. Shoot me. I will not give in.”

Sources said Sor, who lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, was obsessed with former President Donald Trump and told police his rampage was set off by an “invisible object” in his path.

“This was a terrifying incident in which we allege that an innocent pedestrian and numerous cyclists were intentionally targeted and mowed down by this defendant, including a father of three who did not survive his injuries,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement Monday.

“We will now seek to bring the defendant to justice and to keep the streets of Brooklyn safe,” Gonzalez said.

Sor is charged with second-degree murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault and first-degree attempted assault, prosecutors said.

Weng Sor, 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, allegedly told police an “invisible object” prompted him to go on a rampage in a rented U-Haul truck on Feb. 13, leaving cyclist YiJie Ye dead and injuring as many as 10 others, prosecutors said. AP

Police sources said Sor rented the U-Haul in West Palm Beach, Florida, allegedly telling cops he traveled there because he wanted to meet 76-year-old Trump. Cops later found on Sor a piece of paper with “Donald Trump” scribbled on it along with a Florida address, the sources said.

Sor then traveled to the Big Apple, where prosecutors said he began his deadly rampage.

Between 10:20 a.m. and 11:05 a.m., Sor allegedly plowed into several cyclists in Sunset Park and Bay Ridge, including driving onto the sidewalk and striking a police officer, prosecutors said.

Ye, 44, who was working as a food deliveryman, was hit by the U-Haul at Bay Ridge Parkway and Fifth Avenue and later died as a result of massive head injuries, police said.

Sor allegedly then led police on a pursuit on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway into Red Hook, where he was cornered by cops and taken into custody, according to the DA’s office.

The other nine victims suffered a range of injuries, including rib fractures, a pelvic fracture, broken legs, and head, ankle and knee injuries, prosecutors said.

Sor was ordered held without bail by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun. His next hearing was scheduled for May 31.
