Your chance of connecting with a celebrity might be easier than you think.
TikTok influencer Fiona Shea, also known as @baddgal_fifi, posted a video telling viewers her three-step method for snagging a date with a famous man via Instagram DM.
In the two-minute video, which has 2.4 million views, Shea unveils how she and her close friends live by a certain star-magnetizing strategy.
“It has proven successful — it’s all I’m gonna say,” Shea says.
The Los Angeles woman begins with the first step: “You find your famous guy” and then “you take a look at who he’s following.”
Shea then scouts for non-famous men associated with her potential beau from his work, school or even a childhood friend.
“You follow some of these regular guys and hopefully you get one to follow you back,” she continued. “So then you have a mutual [follow] with your famous guy.”
She proceeds to the next step — posting your best thirst trap photos on your Instagram Story.
“In a perfect world, the stories should be of you and your hot friends, and you should be in the same city as the famous guy,” Shea said.
She emphasizes the importance of the Instagram Story showing you going to a concert or sporting event close to your suitor.
Then, once you have a mutual follower and have posted on your Instagram story, “it’s time to slide in.”
Shea shares the DM template with her 114,000 followers, saying, “You DM something along the lines of, ‘If you’re looking for a good time, I’m here with my friends. We’d love to link’ — and drop the number.”
She even suggests reaching out to your celebrity crush’s inner circle.
“You can also do this whole process with someone who’s close to your target famous guy, like a manager, a friend, a brother. You get what I’m saying,” she added. “That’s probably your best bet, actually.”
Many singles flooded the comments section, ready to plot a way to link up with their celebrity crush.
“First I need to unsend all my fan girl messages 💀,” quipped one person. “Will be trying this with Jack Harlow wish me luck.”
One person realized she can skip a few steps: “OK WAIT ME AND DREW STARKEY HAVE MUTUALS.”
While a note taker pleaded, “Step 2 to step 3 was a HUGE JUMP girl we’re [gonna] need a 2.5 step.”
Shea quickly responded in a follow-up video sharing a commenter’s suggestion: “Add the famous guy to your Close Friends.”
She continues, “Do a regular Story and a Close Friends story and then do the DM.”
“I did this and he asked me why i’m friends with his long lost childhood bff,” chuckled one single.
However, a few ladies did achieve their goal. “This has a 100% success rate. I was in a similar think tank with my friends and we tested and can confirm.”
Another woman disagreed: “I used to do this and it def works like 25% of the time lmao.”
