Mindy Kaling sells slick-looking NYC home for $2.4M

Mindy Kaling, the screenwriting actress and producer, made news this week after posting a new Instagram photo on Sunday showing off her trim new figure. Behind the scenes, however, the “Velma” star has also closed on the sale of her Manhattan home.

Kaling parted ways with her two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo at One Kenmare Square, located at the intersection of Soho and Nolita, for $2.4 million, Gimme Shelter has learned. The sale comes seven months after she listed the dwelling for $2.75 million.

Kaling purchased the apartment, at 210 Lafayette St. for $3.1 million in 2017.

While Kaling has not commented on her real-estate loss, she’s been open about her weight loss journey — which includes altering portion sizes and mixing up her fitness routine.

“I’m never going to be someone who can just have spinach and salmon every day. I just am really for the first time in my life, trying moderation, and I love it,” she said in one of her many interviews on the topic.

Kaling bought the apartment via a trust named for one of her characters, Meg Ryan’s Kathleen Kelly, who was created by the late former New York Post writer-turned-Hollywood-filmmaker Nora Ephron, in her 1998 hit film, “You’ve Got Mail.” Kaling loves that character so much that she even named a bar after her in “The Mindy Project.”

The 1,166-square-foot residence has 10-foot ceilings, window walls showcasing the Williamsburg Bridge leading to Brooklyn, a chic kitchen and lots of storage space. For its part, the main bedroom suite comes with a spa-like bath.

Building amenities include a 24-hour doorman and a gym.

The listing brokers are Carl Gambino and Reilly Adler of Compass. Spencer Nauman, of the Agency, repped the buyer.
