Man, 34, busted in deadly stabbing of NYC man found in elevator room: cops

A suspect has been charged with the murder of a 52-year-old man found fatally stabbed in the elevator room of a Bronx apartment building over the weekend, cops said Sunday. 

Ricardo Nieves was arrested for stabbing Andre Harry in the neck on Saturday inside the building on East 175th Street near Prospect Avenue in Crotona Park East, authorities said. 

Cops were responding to a 911 call when they found Harry unconscious and unresponsive inside the elevator room with a stab wound to his neck just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, police said. 

Harry was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The motive for the deadly stabbing was unclear Monday morning. 

Both men are Bronx residents, but neither lived in the building where the stabbing occurred, cops said. Harry lived just blocks away.
