Tom Brady expressed immense gratitude to his loved ones on Wednesday after announcing his NFL retirement, including ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
In an emotional post shared on Instagram, the 45-year-old quarterback reflected on his prolific 23 seasons in the league by sharing a series of snapshots that featured his teammates, family, and Bündchen, whom he divorced in October.
Bündchen, 42, can be seen posing beside Brady and his nearest and dearest on the field in one photo, which appeared to have been taken before a Patriots Super Bowl appearance.
The quarterback also posted a family photo captured after his Super Bowl 2021 win with the Buccaneers, which featured Bündchen, the pair’s two children, Vivian, 10, and Benjamin, 13, and Brady’s 15-year-old son Jack, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen commented on the Instagram post.
“Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,” the supermodel wrote with a prayer emoji.

Brady confirmed Wednesday that he’ll be stepping away from football “for good” following a brief, 40-day retirement last year.
“Good morning, guys, I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press Record and let you guys know first. It won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year,” Brady said in his video.
Bündchen congratulated the seven-time Super Bowl champ last year when he first hung up his cleats, when the two were still married.
“When I met you over 15 years ago, I didn’t know the first thing about football,” Bündchen wrote on Instagram in February 2022.

“But cheering for you and seeing you do what you love most made me learn about this wonderful game to the point that I seriously believed I knew more than the referees! We always had a special champions playlist for every drive on our way to the game. As a family, we always prayed for you, celebrated and supported you in every game, cheered every win and suffered with every loss.”
