‘Merrily We Roll Along’ w/ Daniel Radcliffe coming to Broadway: Get tickets

It’s not easy to come by tickets for the latest Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along.”

Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez, and a who’s who of beloved stage veterans, “Merrily” quickly sent theater fans into a tailspin trying to snatch up tickets for its run at the Hudson Theatre starting Sept. 19.

Not bad for a show that flopped when it originally opened on Broadway in 1981.

Things have clearly changed though.

So, if you want to see Sondheim’s ahead-of-its-time musical recounting the troubled friendship between composer Franklin Shepard and his two lifelong comrades — writer Mary and lyricist/playwright Charley — you can grab tickets now.

Tickets are available for select performances and not nearly as expensive as when the show was off-Broadway.

At the time of publication, tickets start at $170 before fees on Vivid Seats.

That’s quite a bit cheaper than when the show ran off-Broadway; back then, the best price we found was over $1400 before fees.

All prices are subject to fluctuation.

Since the show officially opened on Dec. 12 at the New York Theatre Workshop, reviews have been rapturous.

“Maria Friedman’s staging brings Stephen Sondheim’s brilliant, ingenious score fully alive,” raved the New York Times. They continued, “With Daniel Radcliffe, Jonathan Groff and Lindsay Mendez as the show’s central trio, it is perfectly cast.”

However, for those wondering how audiences are reacting, the buzz is quite favorable.
