Marilyn Monroe and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller’s former home near Sutton Place has quietly hit the market for $3.05 million — down from its $3.75 million asking price in May.
The three-bedroom, 3½-bathroom condo is at 444 E. 57th St., a fabulous 14-story building that dates to 1927.
Late fashion designer Bill Blass once owned a building penthouse and held glamorous parties on his 3,000-square-foot terrace with views of the East River and the city skyline. Other big-name residents included legendary late Carlyle Hotel singer Bobby Short and Sweden’s Princess Madeleine.
Miller was Monroe’s third husband and her longest marital partner. Their marriage lasted close to five years and this home is reportedly where Miller wrote “The Misfits,” which was Monroe’s last film.
