Dolphins vs. Bengals best prop bets: Two anytime TD scorer predictions Thursday night

Tonight’s “Thursday Night Football” game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins is an absolute treat, featuring some of the most prolific offensive talents in the NFL. It couldn’t come at a better time, after we got three absolute snoozers in primetime last week (even though Steelers vs. Browns last Thursday had a bit more offense than some expected).

Tonight’s game has a projected total of 48.5 total points, ten more than projected in last Thursday’s game. Furthermore, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be active after taking a big hit last week that many thought left him concussed. Thankfully he has cleared medical protocols, and we have both teams close to full health for the game.

So, with a potentially entertaining game on the docket, let’s go back to the well of anytime touchdown props. Kickoff for Bengals vs. Dolphins is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET and can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Dolphins vs. Bengals anytime TD scorer props

Trent Sherfield anytime touchdown scorer +800 (BetMGM)

This may be a foreign name to you, but Trent Sherfield, not Cedrick Wilson, has taken control of the third receiver spot in Miami. Last week, he was in on 61.54% of offensive snaps and was the only wide receiver to get a redzone target. He is actually tied for second on the team in redzone targets this season (three) and is third in routes run.

Coming into the season, Wilson was expected to be the third receiver after leaving Dallas, but that has not panned out as of yet. He has been injured most of the year and was limited in practice this week. He was active last week, but logged just five offensive snaps. Wilson may get more involved as the season rolls along, but until we see it, Sherfield appears to be third in the pecking order. His +800 price to score a touchdown is an excellent value this evening, and should be targeted down to +650.

Hayden Hurst anytime touchdown scorer +285 (BetRivers)

Hayden Hurst is the top tight end for the Bengals, and is a big body that Joe Burrow can look for in the middle of the field. He has been out there quite a bit for Cincinnati so far, coming in third on the team in routes run and fourth in targets.

Hurst has two targets inside the 10-yard line for the Bengals, which is the second most on the team to Ja’Marr Chase. At +285, he is a solid bet to score a touchdown. This prop is as low as +180 on some books, so it is possible that +285 does not last long.
