Only the ‘bug-eyed’ can spot the butterflies in this optical illusion

Keep your eyes on the flies.

“Bug-eyed” puzzle buffs are flocking to new optical illusion, with the objective is to spot the butterflies among the flowers.

The bug hunt, created by Hungarian illusion maven Gergely Dudás — aka the Dudolf — challenges fly spotters to locate the five butterflies hidden in a flower bed.

This might seem like an easy task in real life, where a butterflies flamboyant movements give them away. However, in this retinal exercise, the bugs and the blooms are nearly indistinguishable from each other.

Hint: The garland-sporting badger is merely a distraction.

Still can’t spot them? Not to fear, Dudolf has provided an answer key allowing viewers to pick out the butterflies among the bouquet-fillers.

If that’s not challenging enough, take a gander at the Hungarian’s fruit-based illusion, in which the goal is differentiate the apples and the tomatoes. Like with the butterfly challenge, it’s a lot harder than it sounds.
