The Burleson family’s burgeoning media empire is growing.
On Wednesday, Nickelodeon and CBS Sports announced that Mia Burleson, the 12-year-old daughter of former NFL receiver Nate Burleson, will be joining her father on the upcoming season of Nickelodeon’s “NFL Slimetime” program.
Mia will participate in a segment called “Big Time, Big Facts,” in which she’ll highlight relevant and/or quirky facts and notes about upcoming NFL matchups.
The elder Burelson currently hosts the show, along with Dylan Gilmer, the 13-year-old star of “Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan.”
Dylan Schefter, the 13-year-old daughter of ESPN’s NFL insider, Adam Schefter, will also return to the show, along with previous contributors George Johnston IV and Lincoln Loud.
The program has served as something of a link for the NFL to try to reach a younger demographic. Elsewhere, Nickelodeon has also simulcasted playoff games for the past two seasons.
“NFL Slimetime” will air Wednesday nights on Nickelodeon at 7 p.m. ET beginning Sept. 14., and will go through the week after the Super Bowl on Feb. 15. The show will also be available for streaming the next day on Paramount+.
In addition to his “Slimetime” duties, Burleson — who played in the league for 11 seasons — co-hosts CBS Sports’ “NFL Today,” and appears weekdays on “CBS Mornings.”
