Come the fall, Craig Carton is going to have a lot on his plate.
Fox Sports announced Wednesday that “The Carton Show” will air with a rotating cast of co-hosts on weekday mornings at 7:00 a.m. ET, starting Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The Post’s Andrew Marchand first reported back in May that the show with Carton was going to happen. He also later reported that Fox Sports had eyed Damien Woody as a potential co-host, but ESPN would not let the former offensive lineman out of his deal.
Carton will remain in afternoon drive from 2:00 p.m. through 6:30 alongside Evan Roberts on WFAN.
It has been a long and winding road back for Carton. In 2018, the host was found guilty of defrauding investors in a ticket sales scheme, in part to cover gambling debts. He got out of jail in 2020, and returned to WFAN.
Carton and Roberts have had a see-saw battle in the ratings war against “The Michael Kay Show” on ESPN New York, but WFAN has pretty handily won the two most recent quarters.
Elsewhere on FS1, “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe will continue to air from 9:30 till noon. Jen Hale, who has been hosting for several months, has officially been named as the host of the show, replacing Jenny Taft. Taft remained at Fox Sports and contributes to the network’s college football and soccer coverage.
Colin Cowherd’s new co-host on “The Herd” is Jason McIntyre. McIntyre, who founded the blog The Big Lead, has been a utility player for FS1 since 2016. Front Office Sports first reported that McIntyre would land this role; he replaces Joy Taylor.
As The Post previously reported was a strong possibility, Taylor will indeed join Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy on a show airing at 4:30 p.m. ET. The show, previously called “Speak for Yourself,” will now be called “Speak.”
Marcellus Wiley, Acho’s previous co-host, was offered a different role at the network, sources told The Post in July. In early August, Wiley tweeted that he was leaving “SFY” but that we would see more of him on Fox Sports. However, he is not included in the announcement of the new FS1 lineup, so it is currently unclear where things stand with him.
“First Things First” with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes is moving to the spot in between “The Herd” and “Speak” — it will air at 3:00 p.m. ET for 90 minutes.
“NASCAR Race Hub” with Adam Alexander, Shannon Spake, Kaitlyn Vincie and Josh Sims will continue to air at 6:00 p.m.
