US Marshals find illegal tiger cub in home of Dallas rapper while serving arrest warrant

US Marshals found a baby tiger living inside the home of a Dallas rapper when they went to the musician’s residence to serve an arrest warrant Wednesday, reports said.

The furry cub was allegedly being kept by Devarius Dontez Moore — who goes by the hip-hop name Trapboy Freddy — who was wanted on charges of possessing a firearm as a felon, reported local FOX affiliate KDFW.

Moore, 30, made little secret of his wild pet, as he posted pictures of himself with what appeared to be the tiger cub on his Instagram account in June.

The feline was seized by law enforcement after Moore was taken into custody by the Marshals. It was not clear if the hip-hopper — who is known for songs such as “Von Dutch” and “Innocent” — would be charged with keeping the tiger, which is illegal in Dallas.

The creature has been turned over to Dallas Animal Services, which said it was being kept at “an undisclosed location,” but didn’t provide additional details, according to the Dallas Morning News.

News of the tiger’s discovery spread among neighbors and eventually led to online rumors that a tiger was loose in south Dallas. The Dallas Zoo, located in the same part of the town where the exotic cat was found, ended up having to calm fears that one of its tigers was loose, as false information spread online.

“We want to assure everyone our tigers are all accounted for and safe here at the Zoo,” the Dallas Zoo tweeted after getting calls from concerned residents.
