A shocking new video shows the utter devastation of Anne Heche’s deadly high-speed crash into a Los Angeles home.
The footage obtained by TMZ shows firefighters working in the rubble-filled shell of the Mar Vista house after the actress’s crash started a huge blaze that took nearly 60 firefighters more than an hour to tackle.
At one point, someone measures out where Heche’s Mini Cooper came to a crashing end — estimated to be about 30 feet into the building — with an incredulous-sounding woman asking, “That’s where the car was?”
The footage shows the roof in the crash area completely torn apart, with rubble also covering adjoining rooms, including the kitchen.
Heche, 53, was initially seen writhing in agony on a stretcher after the Aug. 5 crash. She was taken off life support Sunday after being declared brain-dead, a prognosis that made her legally dead under California law.
The woman who lives there, professional organizer Lynne Mishele, was in another room with her pets at the time of the deadly smash.
She was left homeless after her home was declared structurally unsafe — with neighbors starting an online fundraiser that as of Tuesday had collected more than $176,880.
Mishele posted a video calling the support “really, truly overwhelming” as she was “still recovering and trying to figure out up from down” from “the most insane traumatic time.”
She also posted a video Friday about the “devastating” news that Heche had been declared brain-dead. “This entire situation is just tragic and there really are just no words. I’m sending love to everyone involved,” she said.
Before her death, Heche was being investigated for hit-and-run as well as DUI after tests allegedly showed she had cocaine in her system at the time of the crash.
