I went from grocery check-out girl to cam-girl mogul earning $48K a month

A former supermarket check-out worker has revealed she now earns almost $48,000 a month after setting up her own cam-girl agency.

Latiesha Jones, 21, started as a cam girl when she was 19 while studying for her criminology degree at the University of Salford and working as a check-out girl at Tesco in Manchester, England.

Jones made the decision to start her own agency, called Latiesha’s Live, after earning a lucrative $360 an hour.

The savvy woman described her venture as “empowering,” telling SWNS she loved making money from just speaking to someone.

“People just like to talk about their lives and it’s a variety of people — from businessmen to family guys,” she said.

“Sometime they’ll ask you to flash your boobs but you do what you’re comfortable with.”

Jones launched her agency in August 2021 and initially started with 15 women on board, which has now grown to just under 100 women. Jones takes a 10% cut from their earnings by managing their profiles and workload.

She started a job as a carer in October 2021, working 75 hours a week and making $1,440 a month — but continued being a cam girl and running her agency in her spare time.

After realizing she could make a steady income from just running her agency, she quit her carer job in November 2021 and decided to focus on her digital venture.

“It was on a bit of a whim, but I wanted to put my time into that,” she said.

“It was up and down for a while because you could be making loads one day and have a quiet one the next,” she continued. “But now we’re doing really well and have had one of our best months yet.”

Jones stresses the women only do content they are comfortable with, adding that their clients often just want a chat.

“I’ll have a 30-minute chat with someone, and the payment will cover my bills for the month,” she said.

“The girls do whatever they feel comfortable with — so they can stay anonymous and work as much or little as they want.

“I’m honest with them and how we are doing as a company.”

The entrepreneur said her friends and family are mostly supportive of her career move.

“My nan loves it and she’s always keen to find out more and know how the girls are doing,” she said. “My twin sister and friends are so supportive too.”

Jones said it hasn’t affected her dating life but added she does “look for older guys that are open to me doing my own thing.”

“I can meet [men] who oversexualize me because of my career,” she said. “But I just stay away from them.”

The downside is the 21-year-old said she wouldn’t be able to go back to a 9-to-5.

“I can have a lie-in or pick up some cam-girling in the afternoon if I want,” she said, adding that although she’s not working all the time, she’s always available for them if they need it.

“It’s a supportive community and I genuinely care about them.”
