Derek Jeter’s wife Hannah jokes about his social media emergence

Derek Jeter can now add “influencer” to his already prolific resume.

The Yankees legend, 47, joined both Twitter and Instagram this week, with wife Hannah Jeter welcoming him to the latter of the social media platforms by posting a sweet throwback photo.

“It’s never too late to be an influencer. You got this babe @derekjeter,” Hannah captioned a photo of Jeter as a child on Tuesday.

Moments after Hannah’s post went live, “Shark Tank” investor and businesswoman Barbara Corcoran chimed in, according to Comments by Celebs, writing of Jeter, “He’ll be selling tummy tea in no time.”

Though Jeter is still getting used to the ‘gram, he did take part in an “ask me anything” with his growing list of followers, where he opened up about his playing career and family life.

“My family is doing great,” Jeter said of the three daughters he shares with Hannah, to whom he has been married since 2016.

“Down here in Miami, love Miami. Been here for the last almost five years, couldn’t be more blessed.”

Jeter had previously served as the CEO and minority owner of the Miami Marlins for close to 4 1/2 years before leaving the post in February.

“The vision for the future of the franchise is different than the one I signed up to lead,” the Hall of Famer said at the time. “Now is the right time for me to step aside as a new season begins.”
