Alex Rodriguez manages to stay awake for Celtics’ Game 5 win

Alex Rodriguez appeared more energized on Wednesday night during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Miami.

The former Yankees slugger — who was mocked online last week for seemingly dozing off at Game 7 of the Mavericks-Suns series — was seen at FTX Arena, where he appeared to chat courtside with his rumored gal pal, fitness enthusiast Kathryne Padgett.

The twosome, who have attended multiple NBA games together, watched as the Celtics defeated the Heat, 93-80, to take a 3-2 series lead. Padgett also posted a video and photos from Wednesday’s game on her Instagram.

With Game 6 returning to Boston on Friday night, it remains to be seen if Rodriguez and Padgett will make the trip to TD Garden.

Rodriguez, a part-owner of the Timberwolves, has been a courtside staple during the NBA postseason this year. And while Padgett has been present for some of those outings, she was also spotted with Rodriguez in January at a Packers’ playoff game, where the two were seen bundling up at a frigid Lambeau Field.

The sighting came months after Rodriguez split from his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez.

Page Six exclusively revealed in March 2021 that the pair had called off their two-year engagement. A month later, both Rodriguez and Lopez, 52, confirmed the news in a joint statement to the “Today” show.

Lopez has since rekindled her relationship with former love Ben Affleck, with the couple announcing their second engagement in April.
