How Leonard Williams keeps his head amid all the Giants’ changes

Logan Ryan, gone. James Bradberry, gone. Leonard Williams…not so fast.

The Giants won only four games in 2021, which makes it unwise to designate any players from that roster as indispensable. Still, for those who are returning, seeing two starters who rarely came off the field no longer in the building has to be a bit disconcerting.

“It’s not eye-opening for me because I’m going into Year 8, but it’s definitely eye opening for a lot of the guys in the locker room,’’ Williams said.

Ryan, a free safety, played 97 percent of the snaps on defense the past two seasons. Bradberry, a perimeter cornerback, played 99 percent of the snaps. Both were invaluable to a secondary that more often kept the Giants in games than it was a reason the Giants lost a total of 23 games in 2020 and 2021.
