Yankees vs. Blue Jays prediction: Bet on Jordan Montgomery

The NFL draft is in the books. The last pick, Iowa State’s Brock Purdy, is the new “Mr. Irrelevant.” Harvey Weinstein, actor James Franco, Chris “Fredo” Cuomo, comic Louis CK, quarterback Baker “wait, what?” Mayfield, the homeless Trevor Bauer, Dr. Anthony “the pandemic phase is over” Fauci and whoever is running things over at the Daily News all beg to differ.

The Yankees’ nine-game win streak has them at the “top of the heap” in the AL East. They will be hard pressed to escape Toronto with their streak intact, but we like them Monday. No wins for Jordan Montgomery after four starts, but he’s been solid, allowing two runs over his last 17 innings. The Jays’ Ross Stripling has appeared in five games, has made three starts, allowing six runs over 15 total innings. Taking Monty and Yanks for 10 units.

When things go your way… Bo Bichette homered, George Springer made a game-saving catch in the ninth inning, and the Jays slipped past the Astros, 3-2. Feelin’ Hot, Hot, Hot. Up +188 jimmykeys.
