‘Blue Rush’ Podcast Episode 105: Reviewing the Giants’ Draft Class feat. Wan’Dale Robinson

There were no gripes from Giants fans at the top of the 2022 NFL Draft. They got themselves a potentially elite pass rusher in Kayvon Thibodeaux. Then they got themselves a starting right tackle in Evan Neal.

The rest of the draft can be up for discussion, but it’s hard debating that Joe Schoen got two potential franchise-altering players in the first round that can hopefully start to change things in Giants land.

To break down all the Giants picks, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz. Giants second-round pick Wan’Dale Robinson joined Paul and I in the second half of the show for a fun interview.

Blue Rush Podcast with Paul, Lawrence & Andrew Harts

  • FAVORITE PICK: Who was their favorite pick from the draft outside of their top two picks? Paul likes Joshua Ezeudu’s story. Lawrence likes Daniel Bellinger.
  • MR. ROBINSON: What does Wan’Dale Robinson bring to the Giants receiving corps? Similar to Tyreek Hill in size and speed and playing under Mike Kafka on offense. Interesting to see how he gets used with Kadarius Toney.
  • THIBODEAUX/NEAL: Thibodeaux was a great pick at five. Surprised he was still available. Giants had Neal and Ickey Ekwonu graded evenly, so they were able to get the pass rusher and offensive lineman. Could not have worked out any better. Fans are excited about this.

Giants WR, second-round pick

  • NYC: Had never been to NYC until a few weeks ago for a few hours. Excited to explore the city and see what it has to offer.
  • TEAMMATES: Pretty cool to be teammates with Saquon Barkley. Daniel Jones texted him. Tweeted with Darius Slayton.
  • FATHER: Dad was incarcerated when younger. Made him grow up faster.
  • INSPIRATIONS: Loved Percy Harvin, Tavon Austin, De’Anthony Thomas.
