NYPD searching for man who allegedly choked, raped woman in Brooklyn

Police are looking for a 27-year-old man who allegedly put a woman in a chokehold and raped her in Brooklyn.

The victim went inside the Ingersoll Houses in Fort Greene at 3 a.m. April 22 with the assailant, identified by police as “Todd.”

He asked the woman for sex, but she declined, according to cops who said “Todd” then choked the victim until she passed out.

When she regained consciousness, she realized the man was raping her, the victim said. He took $600 cash and a cell phone before fleeing, police said.

The victim was taken to Interfaith Hospital with bruises and scratches.

The assailant is described by police as a having a dark complexion with short, dark braided hair and standing at 5 foot 8 and weighing 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light green jacket and blue pajama pants.

CrimeStoppers released photos of the accused rapist in an attempt to locate the man.
The assailant was described as being 5 foot 8 and weighing 120 pounds.
