Elderly man hit in unprovoked attack at NYC subway station

An elderly man was punched in the face Saturday in an unprovoked attack at a Queens subway station.

The 79-year-old was knocked to the ground and hit his head in the attack, which happened around 2:30 p.m. at the 7 train station at Junction Boulevard in Corona, police said.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition. No one has been arrested, police said.
