Pat McAfee in discussions with Amazon for ‘Thursday Night Football’

Business might be picking up for Pat McAfee — again.

The Post has learned that McAfee and Amazon have been in discussions about the former NFL punter contributing to their “Thursday Night Football” coverage, which begins this fall.

There have also been conversations about potentially airing “The Pat McAfee Show” — his weekday talk show, sponsored by FanDuel, which airs on YouTube and SiriusXM — on Prime Video.

A source told The Post that nothing has been finalized.

As The Post’s Andrew Marchand has reported, Amazon has hired Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit to call their games this fall.

McAfee has mentioned on his show previously that he has spoken with Amazon executives. Before they had nailed down Herbstreit, McAfee said he did not want to be a color commentator in the booth due to the large time commitment.

An Amazon spokesperson declined to comment for this story.

Earlier this week, McAfee tweeted: “Hey… Let’s all keep it cool but like.. I’m 1000% UP TO SOMETHING.”

Herbstreit responded to the tweet: “Finally comin to [College GameDay]?!?? Cmon now…it’s time!!!”

It’s possible the two could be colleagues at Herbstreit’s other gig this fall.

In addition to his daily show, McAfee is also the color commentator on WWE SmackDown and wrestled Austin Theory at WrestleMania in Dallas earlier this month.
