Child survives 6-story fall from Bronx building: NYPD

A 4-year-old boy survived after apparently pushing an air conditioner out of a sixth story window in the Bronx and falling out Tuesday, cops said.

The incident happened around noon at NYCHA’s Patterson Houses on East 143rd Street in Mott Haven.

Police were called to the building and found the child “conscious and alert lying on the pavement,” police said.

Emergency medical services took him to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.

“It looks like he might have pushed the air conditioner out and fell out,” a police source said.

The child’s mom was home at the time, police said.
