The most powerful moment of Tiger Woods’ daughter Sam’s emotional Hall of Fame speech

Sam Woods brought down the house Wednesday night as she presented her father at his World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

But the most powerful moment of her speech came when she looked back on Tiger’s scary car crash that happened just over a year ago.

“We didn’t know if you’d come home with two legs or not,” Sam Woods said, per The Post’s Mark Cannizzaro. “Now not only are you about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you’re standing here on your own two feet. That is why you deserve this, because you’re a fighter.”

The 15-time major champion was involved in a high-speed, single-car crash on Feb. 23, 2021 near Los Angeles that left him with a shattered ankle and multiple leg fractures, including open fractures to both his tibia and fibula bones. He required multiple surgeries and has not golfed on the PGA Tour since.

Last November, in his first public comments since the crash, Woods said that amputation of his right leg “was on the table” in the immediate aftermath of the crash.

“I’m lucky to be alive but also to still have the limb,” Woods said then. “Those are two crucial things.”

Weeks later, Woods participated in the PNC Championship in December with his 13-year-old son Charlie.

But on Wednesday, it was his 14-year-old daughter, Sam, who starred in the spotlight.

“Dad, I inducted you into the Dad Hall of Fame a long time ago,” she said.
