John Mara knows the Giants have hit rock bottom

The Giants have hit rock bottom – and co-owner John Mara knows it.

Speaking to the media Wednesday, one day after the team fired head coach Joe Judge, Mara was asked if this is the lowest moment, and the most embarrassed he’s felt as part of the storied franchise.

“I would have to say yes. Yes, it is,” Mara said, according to The Post’s Paul Schwartz.

The Giants, who finished the year at a dismal 4-13, officially cleaned house Tuesday evening with Judge’s ouster after two seasons. Dave Gettleman announced his retirement as the organization’s general manager on “Black Monday” following a dismal four years at the helm.

Earlier in the day Wednesday, the Giants interviewed Joe Schoen, the assistant general manager of the Bills, for the top job. They have cast a wide net for the opening, reaching out to Ryan Cowden, the Titans VP of player personnel, and Ryan Poles, the Chiefs executive director of player personnel, among others.
