Oregon State vs. Sacramento State prediction: Roll with the underdog

After making the Elite Eight less than 12 months ago, it has been tough sledding for Oregon State this season. The Beavers have just three wins heading into their matchup with Sacramento State in Corvallis, Ore.

Oregon State has had massive issues on the glass, ranking 269th in the nation in rebound rate with just two players on the roster hauling in at least three rebounds per game for coach Wayne Tinkle.

Sacramento State has done a good job of not getting beat from the outside with 21.6 percent of the points it allows coming from made 3-pointers, which ranks sixth in the country.

The Beavers also are struggling from the free-throw line, making just 67 percent to rate 270th among 358 Division I teams.

Oregon State already has lost on its home floor to Samford, UC Davis, and Princeton this season and will be in for yet another unexpected home test on Monday.
