Mike Vrabel really wants to wait a week to discuss Zach Cunningham

The Tennessee Titans claimed linebacker Zach Cunningham off waivers on Thursday, but Mike Vrabel was in zero mood to talk about it this week.

The coach was asked twice about Cunningham, the fifth-year outside linebacker who was waived by the Texans. Both times he said he didn’t want to talk about a player who won’t be playing in this week’s game.

When Vrabal got a third question about Cunningham, he decided it was enough.

“This is f–king ridiculous,” Vrabel said, and stormed out of his press conference.

The entire press conference lasted under two minutes.

The Titans are 8-4 and in first place in the AFC South, but their cushion has eroded since star running back Derrick Henry went down with a season-ending foot injury in November.

Vrabel is not the first coach to attempt to neg reporters to share their tunnel vision of only thinking in one-game blocks, and he almost assuredly will not be the last.
