Bosses often demand the most of their best workers, and teachers are usually toughest on their brightest students.
It says something about Cam Thomas that Kevin Durant and James Harden – former MVPs, current superstars and future Hall of Famers – have picked the Nets rookie out to attend their NBA finishing school.
“Cam thinks he knows it all,” Harden deadpanned.
“One thing about Cam, though, he’s got the ultimate green light and confidence. I’ve seen it in a couple guys, but to actually go out there and do it is impressive. He works his butt off, he goes down to the G League, comes back up and … he [is] ready to go.
