The 36-year-old rapper’s alleged shooters arrived and fled last Wednesday’s scene in a white Mercedes Benz that was then located by police on Saturday in a Memphis neighborhood.

Evidence found in the car tied it to a Nov. 12 shooting in the city of Covington that left one woman dead and another injured, Capt. Jack Howell of the Covington Police Department told The Associated Press.

In the Covington shooting, the driver of the Mercedes followed another car out of a high school football game, Howell told the news service.

When the cars were stopped at an intersection, two men exited the Mercedes and opened fire at the other car, striking the two women, according to Howell.

Memphis police have released surveillance footage showing Dolph’s suspected gun-wielding killers outside of Makeda’s Cookies, where the rapper had been purchasing cookies when he was gunned down.

But no suspect information has been released and no arrests have been made.
