Family suspects foul play in death of model, friend who were dumped outside LA hospitals by ‘masked men’
Foul play is suspected in the shock death of model and aspiring actress Christy Giles, whose lifeless body was dumped outside a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday night.
After spending Friday night partying, Giles, 24, and designer Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, were both found on sidewalks outside separate Los Angeles hospitals.
Giles was pronounced dead at the scene and Cabrales-Arzola is currently on life support with no brain activity and little prospect of recovery, according to friends.
Giles’ husband Jan Cilliers has claimed to have seen video of three masked men dressed in black pull up to Southern California Hospital in Culver City, where they dumped the model’s body out of a Toyota Prius without licenses plates.
Cilliers has claimed the same men left Cabrales-Arzola in critical condition outside a Kaiser Permanente hospital in West LA two hours later.
The grieving widower suspects Giles was drugged, as heroin was found in Giles’ system, which he does not believe she would use voluntarily.
“(Cabrales-Arzola’s) toxicology report came back and I guess they found heroin in her system, which is nothing either of those girls would ever, ever do, not voluntarily,” Cilliers told ABC7.
Cilliers told ABC7 he has obtained “all the messages [Giles] exchanged with anybody else that night,” revealing that she was texting Cabrales-Arzola “let’s get out of here” at around 5:30 a.m Saturday morning.
According to Giles’ iCloud records obtained by Cilliers, it was the last message the model sent before she was found dead 12 hours later.
Cilliers and Giles shared their location through a phone app, which showed she was at a West LA apartment building early Saturday morning.
Cilliers, who was visiting his father in San Fransisco when Giles died, has launched a fundraiser to finance a private investigation into the suspicious death.
The GoFundMe page created by Cillers and Carly Amos states: “Since Saturday we’ve all received a number of messages from other females who have eerily similar stories, except the only difference between them & Christy and Hilda, is they survived.”
Cilliers posted a link to the fundraiser to his Instagram page, urging his followers to help find those responsible for [Chritsty’s] death.
